About This Business
The Edson House is a 10-15 minute ferry boat ride from Seattle, Tacoma, or the Olympic Peninsula. It affords travelers the opportunity to sojourn in a peaceful, country retreat. Eight charming cottages in four separate locations are furnished in a comfortable, warm, manner with plants, a rocking or arm chair, television, light cooking facilities, books, magazines, and a supply of tea, cocoa and fresh coffee. Two of the cottages have a magnificent view of Mount Rainier and the Puget Sound.
Two are adjacent to a lovely wooded area next to the Island's premier golf course. Still another overlooks the scenic Burton Quartermaster Harbor.
The community of Vashon offers a variety of activities for visitors. You may enjoy kayaking, boating, fishing and swimming. The Island has many charming restaurants, a movie theater, antique shops, art galleries, shops and parks.
Bicyclists will enjoy miles of paved roads and many outstanding views.
For sports enthusiasts, there is the Sportsmen's Club as well as hunting and fishing. Golfers will find the Vashon Country Club course and it's annual tournaments a delight.

• Families with well behaved children are encouraged to use the facilities. Let us know the size of your party at the time you make your reservation.
• Pets, properly cared for, are welcomed in some cottages by prior arrangement.

- The Bird Blind
The Nest & the Bird Blind are two cottages located on top
of a bluff that has the Island's most spectacular views of
Puget Sound, Mount Rainier, and the Cascade Mountains.
There is a mile and a half of beach and a dock on the
shore below. Surrounded by several hundred acres of
fields and woodland, they share a seven foot diameter HOT
TUB in a deck outdoors. Each cottage sleeps one couple.
The Golf Course Hollow Location

- The Golf Course Hollow
The Blue Jay, the Lady Bug, and Golf Course Hollow are
three cottages that are situated on three quarters of an
acre across the road from the Vashon Golf and Country
Club. Their views are of the woods and fields. Taken
together, they can sleep four couples plus some children
for a family get together. Taken seperately, each makes a
perfect home away from home for a couple. Pets are
welcome at this location.
- The Budgeteer
The Budgeteer is located a short walk from the town of
Vashon and a metro bus stop. It is at one end of a small
(6 space) mobile home park. Most affordable accomodations
on the island. Can sleep 2 couples plus some children.
- Edson House
Edson House, is a two story victorian cottage, that sits
diagonally across the road from the docks of the
Quartermaster Harbor Marina in the village of Burton. It
is a short walk from the yacht club, an art gallery, a mom
& pop market, an inn, a metro bus stop, and a typical
Puget Sound beach. It will comfortably sleep 3 couples
plus some children.
