Fitness Made Practical, Convenient and Fun!
Practical Fitness LLC is about showing people how they can easily get a great workout without using bulky or expensive equipment in a relatively small area, thus "practical fitness". My goal is to help my clients to achieve a healthy, fit and strong body, with the attention required to keep the workouts safe and effective, all while enjoying ourselves in the process. You'll get a fitness plan that's specifically for your individual needs and goals -- and we'll move at a pace that's just right for you. Nutritional coaching, based on whole, nutrient-dense foods, is offered to complement my clients' training programs, as well.
If you are not comfortable going to the gym, work at home or are unable to leave the house, or would just rather exercise at home whatever the reason; don't have quite enough time for an extra trip, or you're a stay at home mom...I'll come to you! We'll have fun exercising in your own home, your private office, or a favorite outdoor location -- I'll take care of the equipment and the details, and set everything up as well. Plus -- no additional fees for gym membership (on top of needed training) -- or for traveling to your private location!
I'm able to observe you with an experienced, trained eye and see first-hand how you perform exercises, and let you know if your form/posture, breathing, rest periods, etc., are correct, and to help prevent injury -- unlike a video, which is good to an extent, but the trainer is not present to guide you personally -- and you can't always see yourself or tell on your own if your form or other measures are correct; provide motivation; serve as an exercise partner so you're not alone, a coach to hold you accountable as well as cheer you on, a mentor you can talk to for advice, and a well-practiced fitness enthusiast with good ideas for variety. Even advanced exercisers benefit from a watchful eye.
A variety of strength-training exercises, plus fun and easy to use equipment will be incorporated into my routines, along with cardiovascular conditioning, agility, balance, flexibility and more -- all according to the fitness level of each client.
